Cool Findings

Over the course of my proposal creation I came across some very helpful tools to share with you. I wish I could have found this before now because I am sure that it could have helped a lot of people with this project. I guess I will have to just hope that there are a few stragglers that can get help from this link.

When I got into this project, the thing that I was the most worried about was the Gantt Chart. Just googling "Gantt Chart" and clicking on the images is enough to instill the fear of God in someone. All of the charts seemed very detailed with overlapping and day to day planning. It just seemed like a nightmare that I would be forced to participate in, in only a few short questions. When I actually got to the question, I seemed to be just as gruelling as I had imagined. Microsoft Excel proved to be of little help and I had a hard time understanding the chart, let alone drawing connections with the program.

Then I found it! TeamGantt.com. It is an awesome website that gives out a nice 30 day free trial, which is perfect for this purpose, and it helped me to see what a Gantt chart is and how completely easy it is to put together. Unlike many of the examples that I saw online, this particular site makes the charts uncluttered, which is very helpful if you started off as confused as I am. SO check it out!

I only hope finding plugins is just as easy! Do you have any favourite plugins? Maybe for the gallery or the contact box? I know a lot of people tend to use Contact7 but I know theres tons of choices out there!
